Red Tears

When I started this... I wanted to express emotion. Something kind of like mental illness, an illness that is largely invisible, that doesn't have a lot of physical signs- short of behaviors caused by it.

And... I got to thinking. Bloody tears. Somehow... as if it were some way to know. Some inner portrayal of how you feel when you feel mental illnesses.

...and yeah, major art lesson here. The background, originally, was going to be much nicer, and less splashes of darker colors, blurring the world, making it darker. But, apparently, if you make the background a solid color to paint on, and paint all over it, then you're kinda stuck with it and what you can do with it. And hair, it should stay consistent. Not super curly/wavy up top and almost straight at the bottom. And eyelashes, those are hard (and therefore ignored, though they should not be.) I'm learning
