Reika Fighting Demon

I shalt try to remember it and type a condensed version of it here.

Okay, so there's Reika, an OC of mine from a story (my imouto-chan) and I are working on. Newyas, Reika's really talented and gifted, her gift just came late and by then was locked away by her own fear.

So this demon comes along, with whiplike limbs, that it can create, that can become really sharp or spikey or whatnot. So this thing hurts her friends and at one point grabs her by her hair, drags her around, and chops off a good deal of her long hair ((which was waist lenght before it was short and uneven)). At that point Reika throws away her fear and decides that she will fight the demon, that she is not afraid, that she will hurt it, and that she will win.

So yeah, her magic in her hand I tried to make glowing... does it look bad??? My imouto-chan said it looked good but... I dunno. How do I make it better?
